Israel's Detractors Seize on the Los Angeles Fires to Try and Attack Israel
Just another part of a never-ending "Campaign Against Israel"
Israel haters have once again proven that they will seize at almost any opportunity; any catastrophe to try and denigrate Israel. This time trying to link Israel to the terrible fire catastrophe in Los Angeles. Just a couple of examples from yesterday, courtesy of Code Pink and Mehdi Hassan suggesting aid to Israel had hurt Los Angeles (See below). And there were undoubtedly others attempting in a similar vein.
This approach of suggesting Americans suffer from U.S. financial support for Israel is an old, old effort going back decades. Way back in the early/mid 1980s; both the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) and the now-defunct, National Association of Arab Americans (NAAA) ran a series of newspaper ads (costing these not-well funded organizations a considerable amount of money) trying to drag aid to Israel into American domestic issues. (See below).
And over the years, others have attempted a similar approach. Treating Americans as tools in their “Campaign Against Israel.” And so on their efforts go.
