A couple of weeks ago, in the aftermath of the killing of the two Israeli embassy staffers, Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim at an American Jewish Committee (AJC) event held at the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington DC; I posted “Responses to The Killing of Two Israeli Embassy Staffers - The Hate for Israel goes on”
This weekend’s horrific firebombing attack on a “Free The hostages” rally in Boulder, Colorado has elicited numerous statements from Senators, Congressmen and local officials besides Administration officials along with various organizations - although some of these statements strangely failed to include the word “Jew” who was attacked.
And of course some have sought to dispute whether these two attacks (the embassy staffers and the Colorado fire bombings could be construed as “Antisemitic” or anti-Israel. A debate I don’t consider worthy of having. When Jews across America are made afraid by attacks on Jews; that says it all.
And from others even worse: From a number of individuals and organizations - usually so vocal on social media; there has been silence. No statements. No posts - on the attack. Plenty of other statements about “bad Israel.”
This lack of condemnations - or issuing a single carefully-worded statement before “moving on” to attacking Israel is quite remarkable. And really does suggest that “Jews are different.”
Think if this week's firebombing attack on the "Free the Hostages" rally in Boulder, Colorado had been an attack on a LGBTQ rally or an African American or Hispanic or Asian American rally or against a local "Womens March" or a school shooting; or "undocumented immigrants" etc; the responses and condemnations would have been so much-more vociferous.
And NONE would have dared to have give a "chickens come home to roost" type response or downplay the attack (or assert a "False Flag" action claim.) And none would have tried to say this wasn't "anti-Gay" or "anti-Black" etc; but merely a response to certain views.
There would instead have been joint statements and demands and calls for joint rallies and marches and statements from all the "Civil liberties" and "Church" and peace groups...(And of course numerous Jewish groups and individuals would have been in the forefront of leading such calls).
So we’ll see what happens next. And how people will react if there’s another attack on Jews.
Democrats screaming they hate fascists are always the same ones practicing fascism, and instead of denouncing political violence, Democrats are encouraging it. https://torrancestephensphd.substack.com/p/the-american-political-party-of-violence
